Zdenek brings extensive experience in finance, healthcare, business development, and mergers and acquisitions, together with a visionary approach to innovation, investment, and operational excellence.
In 2010, he founded Progress Medical, an innovative Czech healthcare group, leading its strategic expansion through the acquisition of a number of smaller healthcare providers, including OB Klinika, which he built into one of the major bariatric healthcare providers in the region, and then successfully exited through a sale to a NYSE-listed healthcare group.
His previous experience includes senior leadership roles in PwC and Komerční banka, where he was responsible, among other things, for its strategic corporate transactions.
Beyond Moondust Ventures, Zdenek has founded an eco-farming enterprise, reflecting his commitment to sustainable business practices.
Marios has over 30 years of international financial experience across Europe, specializing in buy and sell transactions, deal structuring, finance, risk management, and digital transformation.
As the founder of Moondust Ventures, Marios leverages his deep understanding of the finance and technology landscape to identify and nurture high-potential, innovative startups. Passionate about disruptive innovation and transformative change, he provides strategic guidance, hands-on mentoring, and business expertise to portfolio companies, fostering strong partnerships with entrepreneurs.
Before launching Moondust Ventures, Marios was an investor in Progress Medical, an innovative Czech healthcare group, where he successfully exited through a sale to a NYSE-listed buyer. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Big 4 consultancies and financial institutions.
Milan is the co-founder of Fons JK Group, the parent company of STAPRO, a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions in Central and Eastern Europe, and Medila, a network of medical laboratories in the Czech Republic. Alongside Zdeněk Jirsa, he has played a pivotal role in driving the Group’s growth and success. Under their leadership, STAPRO has built one of the region’s largest teams of healthcare informatics experts, spearheading innovation and enhancing information sharing in healthcare.
With a degree in Computer Science, Milan has dedicated his career to transforming healthcare through technology, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to advancing medical informatics. The Group has a strong track record of investing in and scaling high-impact healthcare ventures, including Progress Medical, which achieved a successful exit to a NYSE-listed acquirer. It is also a key investor in LIPIDICA, a University of Pardubice spinoff pioneering a groundbreaking blood test for early pancreatic cancer detection.

In senior leadership roles at a Big 4 consultancy, he led strategic technology initiatives and advised executives in the finance, healthcare, and automotive sectors. At Moondust Ventures, Dimitrios leverages his technical and business expertise to evaluate the feasibility and growth potential of startup technologies, contributing critical insights to the investment process. He is also passionate about mentoring high-potential, tech-driven startups, providing strategic guidance to help them scale and succeed.
Martin is a highly experienced financial professional with a strong background in financial services, investment management, and risk assessment. During his career, he has held management positions at PwC and served as financial manager for several international funds, overseeing financial operations, investment strategies, and capital management. His expertise in due diligence, financial structuring, and risk assessment is instrumental in evaluating investment opportunities.
Leos is the CEO of STAPRO, a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions in Central and Eastern Europe. With a background in artificial intelligence, he brings extensive experience in IT and healthcare, having previously worked at IBM, where he focused on healthcare markets across CEE and the Middle East. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening STAPRO’s position as a key innovator in healthcare informatics and digital transformation.
Martin is a renowned surgeon with extensive international experience and a pioneering leader in the field of bariatric surgery. He was instrumental in founding the first and largest bariatric surgery center in the CEE region, setting new industry benchmarks. As the head of Moondust Ventures’ medical advisory team, Martin draws on his profound expertise to provide exceptional scientific insights that guide the investment evaluation process of healthcare-related investment opportunities.
Jan is a seasoned legal expert with a long track record in transaction law, having worked at Allen & Overy, and later at Wolf Theiss, before establishing his own legal practice. As the legal counsel for Moondust Ventures, Jan provides invaluable guidance on complex legal matters, ensuring strategic and compliant decision-making.
Vojtech leads the evaluation of new investment opportunities at FONS Group and also spearheads the development of university talent networks, in collaboration with Moondust Ventures. With university spin-offs being Moondust Ventures’ key strategic investment focus, Vojtech plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing the next generation of innovative, high-potential startups.
Dominik is instrumental in supporting the Moondust Ventures team by analyzing its startups pipeline to identify high-potential ventures with strong growth prospects, ensuring strategic alignment with investment criteria.
